Orchard Road Capital was founded by Gordy Stofer in 2025. Gordy has over 25 years of experience investing in and developing commercial real estate. A Twin Cities native, Gordy spent the first 15 years of his career in Denver where he led complex development projects in both the mountains and Denver proper. While with Hines, he oversaw two speculative downtown office projects totaling over 1 million gross square feet. In 2016, Gordy relocated back to the Twin Cities to join United Properties where he served in both development and capital markets roles. In his development capacity, Gordy oversaw the completion of Prime Therapeutics’ 400,000 square foot corporate campus in Eagan as well as The Nordic, an office and residential mixed use development project in the North Loop. He then oversaw capital markets activities for United Properties’ various platforms in the Twin Cities and other select markets.

 

In 2021, Gordy opened a Minneapolis office for Denver-based Brue Baukol Capital Partners where he has been directly involved in the capitalization of eight projects totaling approximately $135 million in equity raised. Gordy remains partners with Brue Baukol on various assets.

 

Gordy received a BS degree in Finance from Miami (Ohio) University, a Masters in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver and an MBA from Northwestern University (Kellogg).
